Paul graduated from the University of Limerick with an Industrial Engineering Degree. He worked in Limerick initially as a Process Improvement Engineer before moving to the US where he worked for Sunbeam and Pelstar for 10 years in both Engineering and Operation role’s. Prior to joining United Drug in July ’11, he held various Operational roles within Diageo Ireland over the past 7 years.
Paul is married to Marie with four children. He enjoys all sport’s especially hurling.
Paul assumed the role of Managing Director United Drug ROI in January 2014.
Christy is a graduate from University of Limerick with a
degree in Business Studies. Having spent many years working in the FMCG sector
in a guise of account management, sales and commercial roles Christy moved to
Dublin Drug managing the Blackhall Pharmaceuticals division. Since United Drug
acquired this business, 14 years ago, Christy is now the Consumer Director
heading business units such as Pemberton, Intrapharma, Blackhall and
Christy lives in Meath and is married to
Karen with 3 children. An avid music fan of all genres, other interests include
playing bad golf!
Hillary is a graduate of Newcastle Business
School where she holds a Masters in Strategic HR Leadership. She also holds a
Masters in Marketing Practice and a primary degree in Commerce from NUI, Galway.
She has over 12 years working in the area of Human Resources primarily in FMCG
and Manufacturing industry sectors. She is passionate about employee engagement,
communications and assisting employees reach their true potential.
Hillary is married to Nicholas and has 3 boys. An avid music fan (music
theatre and pop), she loves to sing. Other interests include dancing and
Catherine holds an Msc in Instrumental Analysis, a
Post-Graduate Diploma in Pharmaceutical Validation Technology as well as
primary degree in Science.She has previously worked in a variety of senior
roles in the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector. Most recently she has worked
in senior Manufacturing Director and Head of Quality and Regulatory Affairs
roles for Ipsen where she developed new Quality Management Systems. Catherine
brings a deep understanding of operations excellence and prides herself on
driving a robust quality agenda in partnership with the operations agenda.
Catherine also holds a green belt and has lead significant continuous
improvement initiatives within the quality arena which leveraged significant
savings for the business.As we continues to raise the bar on our Quality
standards in the business and with Quality now a key value for the group the
business must work together to meet and extend best industry practice.
David is a Graduate of the Marketing Institute and is the Director of the United Drug Distributors and Hospitals division in the Republic of Ireland . Prior to this David was a Director of UniPhar Plc and previously held senior management roles within with the Bayer organisation.
David is married and has four sports-mad boys so when he is not standing on the side of a playing field he tries to keep fit by running and cycling. He has run 2 marathons and hopes to complete a third whenever he feels he can break four hours – although 2 is a good achievement!
Stephen is a graduate of The Marketing Institute of
Ireland and joined United Drug in 1998, post the acquisition of Dublin Drug. He
started his career in Pharmaceutical Wholesaling as a warehouse operative in
1984 and has held various Marketing, Commercial and Purchasing roles.
Stephen was appointed to his
current position in 2008. Stephen is married to Helen with two teenage children
Cillian (19) and Molly (16). An avid sports fan, keen hill walker &
mountaineer and intends to climb as many high altitude peaks as possible before
his legs pack up ! Stephen also has a great interest in live music.
Jim joined United Drug ROI in August 2015 and prior to that he was UDG Healthcare plc Group Financial Controller since June 2015. Jim is a qualified Chartered Accountant and prior to joining UDG Healthcare plc he worked as a senior manager for PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Jim is married to Gemma and they have one child. Jim is originally from Tipperary and admits to being a bit of a sports fanatic.
