An Opportunity To Grow: Female Networking Event
Ladies from United Drug were delighted to attend the first ever Female Networking Event organised by our parent company PHX Ireland.
The event which took place in the Address Hotel in Citywest, was attended by women from TCP Homecare, LloydsPharmacy, United Drug and PHX Ireland.
The event began with informal networking over some finger food, and attendees were joined by members of the country board who came along to show their support for the event.
People and Culture Director, Hillary Collins donned her Britney Mic, and took to the stage to welcome attendees and to launch the inaugural event, with one attendee saying, “She certainly knows how to captivate an entire room.” Attendees then moved on to Speed Networking, which gave them the opportunity to speak with women from across the business that they might not ordinarily have the chance to connect with.
The evening progressed to fireside chats and a brief panel discussion with some inspiring women in business, Noreen Fahy, Director of Finance and Corporate Services, IPA; Dr. Clare Keane, Medical Director, TCP Homecare & Suzanne Eade, CEO, Horse Racing Ireland. Each shared stories and experiences and answered some audience questions.
With the evening drawing to a close, attendees were presented with their goodie bags, and invited to continue networking and making connections over refreshments.
This event was run as a pilot by PHX Ireland, as part of their efforts to further demonstrate the commitment to colleagues and to offer opportunities to allow them to develop and grow within the business.
We are already looking forward to the next event!
